Solution: AI translation workflows

You serve customers in many languages and struggle to keep up

Translate websites, products and help content quickly with AI, using your own glossary and tone, and send the content that matters most to native speakers for review.

Sounds familiar?

Signs this is costing you time

Customers prefer to read and buy in their own language. But translating every page, product and help article is slow and expensive with traditional agencies, and keeping translations up to date as content changes is even harder. So most sites translate a few pages and leave the rest in English.

Machine translation has improved a lot, and large language models can now translate with context, tone and your terminology. Used carelessly, they still produce awkward or wrong text.

A translation workflow combines AI speed with human judgment: AI translates everything consistently, and people review what matters most.

The result is more content in more languages, kept current as the source changes, at a fraction of the effort of fully manual translation.

  • Only part of your site or product is translated.

  • Translations fall out of date whenever the original changes.

  • Product names and key terms are translated inconsistently.

  • Agency translation of everything is too costly and slow.

  • Support staff answer customers in languages they do not speak well.

Before and after

How it works today, and how it works after

Before

How it works today

  1. Content is exported and sent to translators.

  2. Translations come back weeks later.

  3. Updates to the original are not tracked.

  4. Terms vary between translators and pages.

After

How it works after

  1. New and changed content is translated automatically.

  2. A shared glossary keeps names and key terms consistent.

  3. High-impact pages go to native speakers for review.

  4. Translations publish to your CMS or app with clear status.

  5. Support replies can be translated both ways for agents.

In practice

What it looks like in practice

An illustrative walk-through, not a client story.

A travel company sells tours to customers in English, German and Spanish, but only its home page and booking pages were translated. Tour descriptions changed every season and were never updated in the other languages.

Now, when a tour description is edited in English, the workflow translates the change into German and Spanish using the company's glossary of place names and tour terms. Booking pages and legal terms go to native-speaking reviewers before publishing; tour descriptions publish immediately and are spot-checked each week. The full catalog is now available in all three languages and stays current.

Honest limits

Limits and human checks

AI translation is very good for many language pairs, but it can still miss nuance, cultural context or legal precision. Legal terms, safety information, medical content and brand slogans should be reviewed by native speakers. We define which content types need review and which can publish directly.

Quality varies between languages. Widely used languages usually translate well; less common ones need more review. We test sample translations with native speakers before scaling up.

Translation also affects search. Each language version needs proper metadata and language tags, which we set up so translated pages can rank in local search.
